He graduated from St. Andrews University, attended Stirling University, Scotland, and received his JD from UNC-Chapel Hill. In many professional organizations, he is Past President of the Carteret County Bar and was named “Citizen Lawyer” by the NC Bar Association. A Newport NC Rotary Club member, Bevin joined in 1989 and currently serves as Executive Director and Board member of Zone 33 RLI, and District 7730 Secretary and Membership Co-Chair. He is the RLI-International Curriculum Editor and spearheaded the development of the RLI materials used worldwide. He is a frequent speaker and trainer at all levels of Rotary and was a panelist at the 2012 RI Convention.
