September 19th, 2015 was a beautiful sunny day in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Rotarians from North Carolina and South Carolina attended the Rotary Leadership Institute classes at the beautiful Horry Georgetown Technical College Grand Strand Campus Conference and Business Center.

Our host hotel was the Hilton Garden Inn at Myrtle Beach Coastal Grand Mall.  On Friday night, faculty, District Governor Rod Funderburk, and guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Travinia restaurant in The Market Common.  We were also treated to a surprise  guest performance by our own faculty member, Gene Moorhead of the Rotary Club of Gaffney, SC.  Gene played the drums with the fabulous jazz band playing at the restaurant.

On Saturday 20 Rotarians and faculty came together for friendship, fun, education and sharing of ideas in  facilitated  based classes to learn more about rotary and ways to enhance their clubs.  The following Rotarians graduated and received their RLI pins:  Stephanie Chestnut and Kristi Kirkland from North Myrtle Beach Rotary, Nathaniel Kaminsky from Georgetown Lunch Rotary and Joan Grayson from Rotary of Hilton Head Island.
