J.R. Wolfe and his wife Cheryl
have two sons, Eric, 20 and Kurtis, 16.
They operate a beef cattle farm outside of Bruceton
Mills, WV. Cheryl
and JR both work for the US Department of Agriculture.
Cheryl is a Program Manager for Rural Development and
makes loans and grants to help generate jobs in rural areas
of West Virginia. JR
is a Resource Conservationist and helps manage conservation
programs established to assist landowners with resource
concerns associated with agricultural production, preserve
valuable farmland, and improve wildlife habitat.
Most of the couple’s time outside of
work is spent working around the house, running the farm,
and running after the boys.
Eric is a junior at Fairmont University studying
business and business computer systems. Kurtis
is a junior at Preston High where he participates in track
and cross-country.
JR’s association with Rotary began in
2001 as a GSE team member to Japan.
He joined Morgantown North Rotary in January 2002,
soon after his return from Japan.
JR led a GSE Team to the Republic of the Philippines
in 2004 and in 2005-2006 he served as President of his club.
JR was privileged to attend the 100 annual Rotary
International convention in Chicago with friend and mentor,
Dave Cavender of the Morgantown Club.
The Wolfes are looking forward to a new
if temporary addition to their family in the form of a
foreign exchange student from Germany.
Benedict Behounek is 16 and will attend Preston High
with Kurtis. He
is sure to make the Wolfe home a more interesting place
during his stay.
