Ken Tillman was a Health and
Physical Education professor, coach, and administrator at
Augustana College (Illinois), Southeast Missouri State
University, and The College of New Jersey. He is past Director of International Education at The College
of New Jersey and coordinator for the international programs
at six state colleges in New Jersey.
Growing up in Essex, Iowa, Ken attended Augustana
College (BA), the University of Illinois (BS), and the
University of New Mexico (Ph.D).
In 1991-92, he was a Fulbright Scholar and exchange
professor at the University of Frankfurt in Germany.
He was a charter member of the Cape
Girardeau West, Missouri Rotary Club and a member of the
Trenton, New Jersey Rotary Club from 1970 to 2003 where he
served as club president.
He was District Governor of District 7510 in central
New Jersey in 1999-2000, where his Conference was selected
as “Best in Zone.”
He was GSE team leader to Brazil and District
Ambassadorial Scholarship Chair.
He served on the Zone Scholar Training Committee for
nine years and was one of the organizers of the Zone 32
Multi-District training program for incoming scholars. He
was a member of the Zone Rotary Foundation Alumni Resource
Group and from 2001 to 2003 he was an Annual Programs
Strategic Advisor for The Rotary Foundation.
Ken
has been a faculty member for the Rotary Leadership
Institute since 1995. He
served as RLI Virginia State Chair and was a charter
representative on the Zone 33 RLI Executive Committee from
2003-2006. Ken
and his wife, Dee, are Paul Harris Fellows, Benefactors, and
Level 3 Major Donors.
