Van
Sherrill is Past
President of the Kernersville (NC) Rotary Club ‘05-‘06
and Past President of the Toccoa (GA) Rotary Club
‘84-’85. He
was a member of the Crescent (Greensboro NC) Rotary Club from ‘89-‘98.
He has maintained 100% attendance.
He is a Paul
Harris Fellow, a Foundation Benefactor, a Major Donor, a
Charter member of the Paul Harris Society in District
7690. Van is currently (‘07-‘08)
serving as Assistant
Governor for District 7690.
Van
is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a
BS degree in Mechanical
Engineering,. He has a MBA from Drexel University.
He is a certified Supply Chain Professional and
Certified in Inventory and Production Management. Van is owner and president of DE Technology, Inc., a
management consulting company.
He
is currently Chairman of the Northern Piedmont Chapter of
the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Van is Past President and life member of Toccoa
Stephens Jaycees, Past Exalted Ruler of BPOE 1820, Past
President of NE GA Mfg. Assoc., Past President of Forsyth
Toastmasters and Past District Governor of Toastmasters
International, District 37.
Van
and his wife Linda have two sons
and daughters-in-law
(all are PHF’s) and three grandchildren. They are
active members of Main Street United Methodist Church
where Van is a Disciple Group Facilitator. Van has served as a Sunday School Supt. and adult Sunday
school teacher. He is a Certified Lay Speaker for the
Winston-Salem UMC District.
