Barbara Shayeb-Helou is a Rotarian with
perfect attendance since 1992, and follows in the
footsteps of her Father and Maternal Grandfather who were
both Rotary Club Presidents in Massachusetts. In
fact her Grandfather founded the RC of Chelsea, Ma. in
1927. Barbara moved to the Tampa Bay area in
the 80's and in the 90's became President of two Clubs and
the founder of two Clubs.
She held numerous District positions, was
AG twice, and became District Governor for District #6890
in 2005-2006. Barbara has attended six RI
Conventions and five Zone 33/34 Institutes.
Barbara holds a A.B. degree from Suffolk Univ. and
an M.A. from Northeastern, Univ. She has more than
25 years experience working with non-profits. She
has counseled , resettled refugees, directed volunteers,
planned events, and fund raised.
In late 2007 she moved to Greenville, S.C. where her
Daughter and son-in-law live. Barbara has joined the RC of
North Greenville and looks forward to more Club and
District involvement.
