Scott A. Mills is an
attorney, practicing employment law with Enterprise
Business Law Group LLC in Tysons Corner, VA. Growing up in
Tulsa, OK, in 1979, Scott was a Rotary Youth Exchange
Student in England. He is a third generation Rotarian.
A
Rotarian since July 1999, he joined the McLean VA club in
2004, where he is
a Past President. During
his term as Club President in 2007-2008, the McLean Club
was named District 7610 Club of the Year and was the only
club to receive the Governor’s Citation for Excellence.
Scott’s numerous club recognitions include two Club
Rotarian of the Year Awards and two Club Service Above
Self Awards awarded by the Herndon and McLean clubs.
Scott
was named District 7610 Rotarian of the Year in 2007.
He currently serves as the District Communications
Director, District Directory Editor, and on the District
website, foundation, and conference committees.
He has
served as District Parliamentarian and Credentials. Chair,
and has served as chair for District Simplified Grants,
World Community Service, and GSE Outbound Team. He has
previously served on the District Conference, Foundation
Seminar and Banquet, and District Leadership Plan
committees. He
received The Rotary Foundation District Service Award in
2007. He has
authored numerous Rotary Foundation grants and is a
frequent speaker and trainer.
He and his wife, Kim,
who also is a Rotarian, are multiple Paul Harris Fellows,
and are both Rotary Foundation Major Donors, Benefactors,
and members of the Bequest Society and the Paul Harris
Society.
Outside
Rotary, Scott has been named by the United States Jaycees
as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America.
He has held leadership positions with Alternative
House: The Abused and Homeless Children’s Refuge, Inc.,
Leadership Fairfax, Inc. and United Way of the National
Capital Area. Scott and Kim have two children, Isaac and
Casey. |
