Karl McKinnon joined Rotary in
1997 as a member of Summit Rotary Club in Greensboro,
North Carolina. Shortly after joining Karl became involved
in District 7690 as the District Rotaract Chair. In this
capacity he accompanied a delegation of college students
from five (5) Rotaract Clubs to the United States, Canada,
Caribbean Rotaract Conference in Aruba. The delegation was
responsible for bringing the USCC Rotaract Conference to
Asheville, North Carolina the following year.
Karl has also served as District 7720
RLI Chairperson and was Facilities Chair for the
Greenville, NC RLI for two years. An active Rotarian Karl
has served as a Board member and President Elect.
Additionally, Karl has attended numerous District
Conferences and District events as an active Rotarian.
Currently, Karl serves as Club Trainer for his home club.
Karl has been a member of Summit
Rotary (Greensboro, NC), Grand Forks Rotary, (Grand Forks,
ND), Wilson Rotary (Wilson, NC) and is currently a member
of Gastonia East Rotary (Gastonia, NC).
Karl is Assistant Director of the
Schiele Museum of Natural History in Gastonia, NC. He has
been a museum professional for 28 years.
