Tim
is a retired businessman.
He spent over 20 years with IBM in a number of jobs
including Executive level positions in sales, personnel,
development, training and mfg. plans and controls.
He was one of the original members that started the
IBM Personal Computer in Boca Raton, FL. After his IBM years, he owned two different consulting and
training companies. He
is a graduate of Siena College in Loudonville, NY.
Tim
has coached at the college level, and taught in both High
School and College.
He
joined Rotary in 1996, and has served as Secretary and
President of his club, and as ADG and District Governor
(2006-2007) of District 7710.
He has attended International Conventions in
Copenhagen, Chicago, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles. Tim is a multiple PHF, a Benefactor, a Paul Harris Society
member, and a Major Donor.
In
addition to his Rotary activities, he reads to over 14,000
blind and visually impaired people at a radio station in
Raleigh, he sings at a number of assisted living
facilities in his area, and he is a cantor and choir
member in his church.
His hobbies are golf, reading and singing.
His wife, Cathy, is also a Paul Harris Fellow and an
honorary Rotarian. Tim
and Cathy have three children and five grandchildren.
They live in Cary, NC.
