Jody L. Light owns and
operates Campus Creations, LLC, a national collegiate
fundraising and gift service company from her hometown of
Buckhannon, WV, as well as assisting in the management of
her parents rental properties.
Her past years in Sales & Marketing in various
hotels and convention bureaus in five states prompted her
to move home and open a retail gourmet gift basket
business in 1996 later evolving into her current business
working primarily with colleges across the country.
Joining the Rotary Club of
Buckhannon, WV in 1998, Jody quickly became involved in
coordinating the club’s major fundraising program … a
highly successful semi-annual blood screening project
which currently serves over 4,000 people annually in the
community. With
her predecessor moving from the area shortly after
becoming President, Jody stepped into the President’s
role early serving in that capacity for nearly 2 years.
An Assistant Governor for 3 years,
Jody has also served on the District Finance Committee
(2005 – 2007), DG and Ambassadorial Scholar Nominating
Committee, District International Promotion Chair, and
District Conference Chair (2001).
She recently graduated from RLI Leadership Training
and later participated in Faculty Training in June, 2007.
She is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, is currently
serving as District 7530 Membership Chair, and was
recently nominated to serve as District 7530’s Governor
for 2009-2010.
A single business lady, Jody also
volunteers with other local organizations including the
Landlords Association, Special Olympics, and WV Strawberry
Festival. With
her love of traveling and helping others, she is excited
at the honor of visiting and working with fellow Rotarians
in her District and beyond as DG 2009-2010. |
