Phil Crawford is a retired FAA Air Traffic Controller and proprietor of Crawford’s Exchange, a company  dealing in aviation, pneumatics and precious metals concerns, and since 1993, the wholesale book business. A native of Kinston , NC , he graduated from Georgia Military Academy and attended ECU and The University of Alaska.

A Rotarian since 1981, Phil has been in the Raleigh and Kinston Rotary Clubs, serving as President of the Kinston Club, Board Member and in many other capacities. In District 7730, Phil has participated in PETS, RYLA, Scholar Training, Rotary Foundation Seminars, and on GSE committees. He has chaired several committees and served as an Assistant Governor for Area 8. He serves as District Governor in 2005-06. In 2001 he established the District web site and remains DICO. He has served several times as a RI Convention Sergeant-at-Arms, attended three Goodwill Meetings and Zone 33/34 Institutes. Phil is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Sustaining Member, Benefactor and active supporter of the Rotary Foundation.

He is active in his church as an Elder and as past president of the Christian Men’s Fellowship, and active in leadership of the Christian Church in North Carolina Disciples of Christ and East Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts.

Phil is married to the former Lynn , and they share a combined family of 5 children and 5 grandchildren. They enjoy family time and the odd hot dogs and ball game night.
