Abram
H. Clymer is
currently employed full time as a Vice President of
Finance for Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association.
In addition he is the owner of a Dairy Queen, and Preston
Dry Cleaners. Born in Lancaster , PA, he
graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond,
Va. with a degree in Business Management.
His wife Shirley, along with Abe, are Major Benefactors,
Multiple PH Fellows, and donors to the William E. Skelton
Endowment Fund.
In
Rotary, Abe was RI Membership Coordinator 2001-2003, Zone
33 Literacy Resource Person 2005-6, RI President Rep for
2001-2006. He currently serves as Zone
33 Resource Person for Literacy. He has served as Chair
for the Southland Breakfast, and SAA for the past 14
International Conventions. Governor in 99-00,
GSE Team Leader in 1998 to Thailand , he has been involved
with NID in Bangladesh , Nepal , India , and the
Philippines . He has traveled extensively for
Rotary to Russia , China , South Africa, and Philippines,
and has attended the past 13 International Conventions,
and has been a SSA at all 13, as well at Zone Events. He
is very involved in District 7570, currently chairing the
RLI, Strategic Planning Committee, and the Literacy
Committee. He will be serving on the RI 2007
Leadership Training and Development Committee, and Chair
the Foundation Major Gift for District 7570.
Abe
has served on the Board of Overseers of Hesston College in
Kansas , and also currently serves on the board of several
religious organizations, and is a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg. He has two
children, Angela and Eric, and three granddaughters.
