Abram
H. Clymer (Abe) is founder and CEO of
Chesa LLC., a retail group comprised of Grill &
Chill Resturent, Dairy Queen, Preston Dry Cleaners &
Shoe Repair, etc. A Rotarian since 1978 in the
Harrisonburg Rotary Club, Abe has served as President and
involved in many committee's.
In
District 7570, Abe has been District Governor 1999-2000, GSE
Team Leader to Thailand 1998, Chair of Major Gifts for the
Foundation, and first brought RLI to the District in 1999,
which later spread throughout Zone 33. Abe has
served as a RLI Facilitator since then, and now serves as
RLI State Cordinator for the state of Virginia.
Abe has
served RI as President's Representative, International
Assembly Training Leader, GETS Zone Trainer, RI Membership
Coordinator 2001-03, Leadership Training and Development
Committee 2007-10, Zone Literacy Chair, NID in Bangladesh
and India, and SSA at every International convention since
1993(minus one). International Service, Literacy,
and Polio are Abe's primary focus at the moment. He
has traveled for Rotary to South Africa, Philippines,
Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal, and
Bangladesh.
Abe and
his wife Shirley, are Major Donors, Major Benefactors,
Charter members of the William E. Skelton Endowment Fund,
They are the proud parents of two children, and three
granddaughters. They are members of the First
Presbyterian Church where Abe is an Elder.
