Deborah
M. Bowen is co-owner of EFC Builders, of Troutman, NC,
an industry award winning residential home builder and
renovator in the Lake Norman area, near Charlotte, NC.
Deborah is originally from Melbourne, Florida, and moved
to Mooresville from Tucson, Arizona in 1996.
She earned a BSBA degree from the University of
Arizona.
Before entering the residential building industry,
Deborah was a senior executive in the information
technology consulting field.
Deborah
became a Rotarian as the Charter President of The Rotary
Club of Top of the Lake-Mooresville, a position she held
for 18 months as the club was organized.
The club is well recognized at the district for its
many accomplishments.
Deborah has had an emphasis on international
service, and was instrumental in her clubs sponsorship of
a new Rotary club in Chernihiv, Ukraine.
She conducts all orientation for the Top of the
Lake club.
She is proud to be a Paul Harris Fellow.
Deborah
is married to Geoff, with whom she is business partner. They
have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
In addition to Rotary, Deborah has served on the
Board of Directors for the Lake Norman Home Builders
Association (2003-2006) and a vestry member of St.
Alban’s Episcopal Church (2000-2004).
The Hope House, a transitional shelter for women
and children, is their charity project for 2007.
