1. Is the new mileage policy paying for actual mileage for travel both ways, or just one way?

The travel policy will reimburse all travel expenses directly associated with a faculty member's getting to and from an Institute. This would include travel to and from the event by a reasonably direct route.

2. Is there a maximum amount for the reimbursement?

No, there is not currently a maximum amount. However, the policy is being evaluated periodically by the Board to determine its cost and continued feasibility.

3. Is there a minimum number of miles that must be traveled before reimbursement can be claimed?

No, there is not currently a minimum mileage requirement. However, the policy is being evaluated periodically by the Board to determine its cost and continued feasibility.

4. Does the mileage reimbursement cover Faculty driving within the district of the event?

Yes, it covers all Faculty assigned to the event, regardless of district. However, the policy is being evaluated periodically by the Board to determine its cost and continued feasibility.

5. If the IRS mileage reimbursement rate changes, does the Faculty stipend rate adjust with it?

Yes, the policy envisions reimbursement in accordance with the IRS mileage rate in effect on the date of the event. As of January 1, 2008, that mileage rate had been increased to $0.505 per mile. The Treasurer will make reimbursement rate corrections as necessary.
