March 11, 2017 was a beautiful day in Charleston, South Carolina. Rotarians from 4 different districts in South Carolina and North Carolina , attended the Rotary Leadership Institute classes at The College Center at the Complex for Economic Development at Trident Technical College. Twenty seven Rotarian and faculty enjoyed a day of friendship, fun, education and sharing ideas in facilitated based classes to learn more about rotary and ways to enhance their clubs. The food was outstanding especially the peach cobbler with cinnamon whipped cream! One Rotarian commented that the registration fee was worth it for the food alone!

Five Rotarian graduated and received their RLI pins from District Governor Sandee Brooks and Past District Governor and RLI Regional Coordinator Rod Funderburk: Rick Carpenter from Sumter Palmetto Matthew Coakley from Summervile Oak brook Susan Cunnup from Little River Cliff Mrkvicka from Low Country Susan Wollitz from Leland, NC Our host hotel was the Holiday Inn Express on Ashley Phosphate and the faculty, spouses and guests enjoyed a wonderful Italian dinner at Amici’s Italian Bistro on Northwoods Boulevard.
