October 25, 2009 (Salisbury, MD). Due to low enrollment numbers, the Salisbury MD RLI scheduled for October 31, 2009 has been cancelled. The announcement was made by RLI Chair Bevin Wall after consultation with District 7630 leaders, including Gov. Susan Giove, today. 

This was scheduled to be the first RLI in District 7630 run by Zone 33 RLI. "Often, it takes a try to two to get sufficient numbers to hold a first time event in a district" said Chair Wall. "We will certainly establish a 2010-11 date shortly, and expect to have many successful Institutes in District 7630 in the future." It is believed that the Halloween weekend scheduling for the event also was a factor in the low enrollment.    

Registrants will be contacted by RLI staff directly, and will have to option to apply their registration to another Zone 33 RLI event, or to receive a refund.
