February 28, 2009 (Annandale, VA). District 7610 hosted a very successful institute on 21 March at Northern Virginia Community College.  Our new venue was arranged with the help of Rotarian Dr Bob Vaughn, a member of the Annandale Rotary Club and a member of the faculty at NVCC.  Duwain Ketch, our facilities coordinator engineered a smooth transition to our new home and he was shadowed by Neal Davidson who will be the facilities coordinator for 2009-2010.  George Tyson, the incoming 7610 District Chair was also on hand to witness the event and to help out. 

Forty Rotarians participated in the institute and 14 of those, including two past presidents, four sitting presidents and two presidents-elect received their graduate pins from the RLI faculty.  

The faculty was PDG Andy Turner, Carol Foley, Johnny Chapman, PDG Ken Tillman, Steve Cook, PDG Travis White and John Veldhuis.  We had the added pleasure of hosting participants from Districts 7600, 7350, and 7570.
