26, 2009 (York, SC) Heidi Johnson, 31, RLI
graduate and facilitator and assistant governor for 7750,
from York, SC, was killed in a one-car traffic accident
Friday, Feb. 20, near her house. The car ran a stop sign,
hit a tree and burst into flames. She left two children,
12 and 5. Her father Joe Johnson is a past assistant
governor and also a member of the Rotary Club of
York. Heidi was the body shop manager at Dunlap Johnson
Chevrolet, a company founded by her great-grandfather and
currently operated by her father.
She had served most recently as facilities coordinator
for RLI in Rock Hill. Among the first RLI graduates in
District 7750, Heidi said she would not have succeeded as
club president without her RLI background.
