We sadly report the death of District 7730 Past District
Governor and RLI Faculty Member Jay Kapner of Atlanta, GA,
formerly of Wilmington, NC, USA.
Jay's wife, Lee reports that Jay died Saturday morning
at 2:30am, and that the family was with him. Jay fought
ALS with a great deal of courage, never complained and
kept on fighting to the end.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008, at
2:30pm at Dressler's Funeral Home in Atlanta. There will
be a memorial service in Wilmington, NC, at a later date
to be announced.
Jay was a Past District Governor in District 7730,
Southeast North Carolina in 2006-07. He had been a Faculty
Member of The Rotary Leadership Institute since 2005. His RLI
