Rotary Learning Occurs at Fredericksburg RLI

November 22, 2008 (Fredericksburg, VA) District 7610 hosted a very successful Institute at Mary Washingon University in Fredericksburg, VA on the 22nd of November.  Ken Tillman did his usual great job of coordinating with UMW so that everything went smoothly.  He was assisted by Roy Werner of the Rappahannock club who will take over from Ken next year,  Ken also arranged a great faculty dinner at La Petite Auberge on Friday evening.  The picture below shows some of the particpants and faculty enjoying the cuisine at the MWU student dining facility.  It wasn't like La Petite Auberge, but there was great variety and no limits!

In addition to the District 7610 faculty of Andy Turner, Scott Mills, John Veldhuis, Johnny Chapman and Carol Foley, Jim Probsdorfer joined us from District 7600 and Stan Cahn from DIstrict 7770.  George Tyson, who will be the District 7610 RLI Chair for 2009-2010 was also on hand to observe and help out.

Nine particpants received their RLI pins in a ceremony that had to be a first for RLI because the group included two husband and and wife teams!

In the photo to the right, DG Chuck Davidson, who was a Part I participant, rests after the strenuous effort of pinning and congratulating our grads.  Behind him, left to right are Rick Neldon and Hugh Hamilton, Vienna; Chip Willlis, Rappahannock; George and Julie Franklin, Louisa; Ronal Butler, Alexandria; Bill and Juanita Cawley, and Colleen Bonadonna, all of West Point.
