Changes Announced: Graduate Courses, Two Day Seminars, Registration & Fees

May 18, 2008 (Greensboro, NC)  RLI had a great year in 2007-2008!  In the Zone 33 Division, we had 683 participants; 483 Part I, 142 Part II, and 58 graduates.  Participation continues to grow and we will be adding a new venue this year.

There are also some exciting changes for 2008-2009.  In response to requests from those who have completed Part III, we are going to offer a graduate program.  The first one will be in Fredericksburg in conjunction with the November 22 Institute there. The graduate program will consist of two half-day courses, tentatively planned to be The History of Rotary and Club Strategic Planning.  If these programs are successful, we plan to do two more in the spring.  Watch the RLI website for further details.

We are also going to try out a two-day institute that will offer Parts I, II and III on two consecutive days.  The pilot program is planned for Asheville NC on April 17 and 18.  Again, watch the website for details.

There will also be some changes in the registration process.  As one of the last, if not the last, divisions to do so, we reluctantly have raised the registration fee to $95.  This is necessary in order to continue the RLI without sacrifice to the quality of the learning experience that we have been able to provide.  Those who have already registered for a session at the old $85 rate have received the “early-bird special”.

Registration policy has also been changed so that each registrant must register and pay on-line at www.rli33.org.  As before, you will use a personal credit card to pay the registration fee using PayPal.  It is not necessary to have a PayPal account to do this and you will not be charged a fee.  Registrants may request reimbursement from their clubs in accordance with club policy.

These are a few of the important changes recently enacted by your Board. Stay tuned for  news of further changes shortly.
