2008 (Newport, NC) Four RLI Rotary
leaders, including Zone 33 RLI Chair Bevin Wall,
have been appointed to a new Legal Committee to provide
legal and tax advice and counsel to the officers and
members of the International body of The Rotary Leadership
Institute. The appointments were announced by RI
International Chair and Past Rotary International Director
Dave Linett earlier this month.
Wall, a general practice attorney in
Newport, NC, concentrates on matters which include
corporate and business law, real estate law and federal
bankruptcy practice. He, as well as the other members
selected for the committee, have expertise in various
areas of law, finance, and non-profit
governance.
Because of the varying laws of the
many countries that participate in RLI and their component
states, the initial committee consists of members from the
United States only. Later assessment will occur on the
need for legal and tax advice pertaining to other
countries.
The members of the Committee are DG
Tim Schuler, Esq. of the Sunshine Division (Florida),
Chair; PRID Robert Stuart, Esq. of the Heart of America
Division; PDG Bevin Wall, Esq. of the Zone 33 Division and
PDG Greg Podd, CPA, of the Arizona Division. Their work
will begin during the 2008-9 Rotary year.
