Methodist University site for RLI in Fayetteville NC

October 27, 2007 (Fayetteville NC)  Thirty-Five Rotarians participated in Part I and Part II classes held at The Reeves School of Business,  Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC on October 27, 2007. Rotarians from several districts participated in the event. It was the first time that an Institute had been held on the Methodist University campus.

During the luncheon in a private dining room at Methodist University, the Rotarians were welcomed by host District Governor Wilson Ray from Red Springs, NC. Governor Ray also attended classes in the afternoon with the Rotarians. Brief luncheon remarks were also made by Bevin Wall, Zone 33 RLI Chair, who thanked both students and faculty for making the commitment of their time and talents to strengthen their Rotary clubs and the service they provide to their respective communities.

RLI Eastern NC Chair Bob Stinson and Fayetteville Rotarians David & Magda Baggett were also thanked for their roles in administering the Institute. District RLI Chair John Smith was ill and unable to attend the event.

An excellent Faculty of PDG Milt Iossi, PDG & RLI Board Member Bob Stallworth, Rtn. Bob Melone, PDG Tim Mannix, AG Mark Lynch and Rtn Van Sherrill prompted and engaged the students during each session.

All students were encouraged to attend the next class of RLI at one of the many upcoming events including the High Point NC RLI on November 16 and the Greenville SC RLI on December 1.
