RLI Adds Board Members; Faculty Welcomes 21 at Annual Meeting

June 3, 2007 (Greensboro, NC)  A record turnout for the Zone 33 RLI Annual Meeting and Faculty Training saw additions to the Institute's Board and welcomed 21 new Faculty.

District Chairs from the Institute's 14 member districts elected Mary Dean from West Virginia and Bill Boyd from South Carolina to the RLI Board, joining existing Board members Bevin Wall, Ron Ferrill, Bob Stallworth and Glenn Hood. A change in the Bylaws approved at the Business Session also expanded the Board to include, by position, Pam Wall as the Faculty Trainer, and Eric Adamson as the immediate Past Board Chair.

Faculty Trainer Pam Wall reported that 21 New Faculty were accredited at the event, and were representative of the member districts.

Existing Faculty members assisted in several of the new Faculty training modules.

It was reported in the Business Session that Zone 33 RLI was financially solvent, and ran a surplus of approximately $3,000 during the prior fiscal year, but that several equipment purchases were deferred. The 2007-08 Event Schedule was unveiled and will feature 20 events across the service area.

The Saturday BBQ outdoor picnic with current and future Rotary officers  as special guests, and the Saturday night Faculty appreciation dinner were judged rousing successes by the participants.
